    The Next Journal of AI in Healthcare (NJAIH) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal at the frontier of artificial intelligence and health. NJAIH publishes research on the development, evaluation, governance, and real-world implementation of AI tools, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, computer vision, and predictive analytics across clinical medicine, public health, and health administration.

    Next Journal of Global Health (NJGH)

     

    The Next Journal of Global Health (NJGH) is a multidisciplinary, open access journal dedicated to the science and practice of global health. NJGH publishes scholarship that addresses health disparities, infectious and non-communicable disease burdens, health equity, and the social, political, and environmental determinants of health across nations and regions with particular attention to underrepresented geographies.

    Focus and Scope

    NJGH publishes across the full spectrum of global health: epidemiology and disease burden studies, global health governance and diplomacy, health equity and social determinants, neglected tropical diseases, pandemic preparedness, climate change and health, humanitarian health response, global mental health, and cross-border health policy. The journal especially encourages submissions from researchers based in LMICs and regions underrepresented in global health literature.

    Open Access Policy

    NJGH is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription or pay-per-view fees. Authors retain copyright of their work under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

    Peer Review Process

    NJGH operates a single-anonymized peer review process. All submitted manuscripts are first assessed by the editorial team for scope and quality. Manuscripts meeting minimum standards are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers. The editorial board makes final decisions on acceptance, revision, or rejection. The typical time from submission to first editorial decision is 2 to 4 weeks.

    Authors publishing in NJGH retain copyright to their work. Upon acceptance, authors grant NGHC Publications a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the article. All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License. Third parties may reuse published work, including for commercial purposes, as long as proper attribution is given.

    Sponsorship Disclosure

    NJGH is published by NGHC Publications, a division of Next Global Health Consulting Inc. (Canada). The journal does not accept commercial sponsorship that influences editorial content or decisions. Article Processing Charges (APCs) may apply to cover publication costs; waiver policies are available for authors from low-income countries. Details are available on the journal website.     The Next Journal of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology (NJIDE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing the science and practice of infectious disease epidemiology, outbreak investigation, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance, and global health security. NJIDE publishes original research, methodological advances, and field reports that contribute to the prevention, detection, and control of infectious diseases worldwide.

    NJIDE covers a broad range of topics within infectious disease epidemiology and global health, including but not limited to:

     

           Epidemiology of bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections

           Emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases

           Outbreak investigation and rapid field epidemiology

           Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance, mechanisms, and stewardship

           Vaccine-preventable disease (VPD) epidemiology and immunization programme evaluation

           Travel medicine and imported infectious disease surveillance

           Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV/AIDS epidemiology

           Respiratory infections including influenza, COVID-19, and tuberculosis

           Vector-borne and zoonotic disease epidemiology

           Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and infection prevention and control

           Epidemiological methods including modelling, genomic epidemiology, and digital surveillance

           One Health approaches linking human, animal, and environmental health
